Have been ringing 20 years, started with church choir, North Hill Christian Church; rang with Decolores, Spokane Community Handbell Choir - director Blanche Kangas, for 4 years; has been solo ringing since workshop with Christine Anderson 18 years ago. Rang with Campanile for 2 years playing musical percussion theatre, traveling with them on tours through the northwest, midwest, northeast United States and Taiwan. Did this while Campanile was located in Los Angeles and she was located in Spokane, WA :-) Rang with Bells of the Cascades (Portland, OR) for two years...drove 6 hours one way twice a month for rehearsals. Wouldn't anyone for the chance to ring under Nancy Hascall? Favorite ringing event yearly, Bayview Week of Handbells with founder, Don Allured and now current director, Carl Wiltse. Ring in the deep bass pit, all 2's and 1's, down to C1. Currently ringing at several churches, as well as putting on handbell workshops and ringing for weddings, special occasions and parties. was the originator of "modern" solo ringing and taught advanced ensemble
ringing when most ringers were still using only two bells. He formed
the Fink Family Ringers in 1959. They presented over 150 concerts
during five cross-country tours, teaching all who wanted to learn about
their techniques and music. Larry introduced handbells to the Seattle
World's Fair in 1962, and taught ringing in four junior high schools and
one high school in the Seattle area. He has served on many AGEHR
committees, Bells in Schools Chairman in 1966 (CHIME),
contributed articles on handbells in education in OVERTONES, and
has attended numerous festivals over the years. Larry was awarded
the Honorary Life Membership in 1994. It was a pleasure to see Larry
and other family members in 1997 at the National Directors' Seminar
in Spokane, WA. Larry died in July of 1998, after an extended illness.

1980-89. First Executive Director of AGEHR. Andrew L. Flanagan
began working with the AGEHR early in his career when he was involved in
organizing Area II. He went on to serve as the National Treasurer.
Andy left his position as Associate Executive Director of Choristers Guild
to become the first Executive Director of the AGEHR. His first responsibility
was to set up the National Office in Dayton, Ohio. This marked
the beginning of a new era for the Guild, consolidating all registrations
and memberships and financial matters in the central office. Andy
also served in churches as Music Director in Pennsylvania, Texas and Ohio.

Founding handbell director at Riverview United Methodist Church. Program has included up to five choirs ranging in ages from 4 - 60+. Charter member of Bay Area Ringers - an auditioned community handbell ensemble (no longer in existence). Clinician on Bass Bell Techniques and Working With Young Ringers at Area and State AGEHR events. Clinician for State Disciples of Christ Music Workshop as well as AGEHR State Childrens festival and will be clinician for the State Young Ringers Festival in 2001. Kim has done private workshops for individual churches.

Louise is one of the foremost authorities on BellTrees and Processionals
with handbells, and has taught classes on both at Area IV, National and
other events. She has written on these subjects. She
served as Historian and other offices in Area IV. AGEHR Composer
